Hope you're doing good and staying safe during Covid. It gives me immense pleasure to share with you that our company Matrimony.com, of which BharatMatrimony is a part, is in its 20th year of successful operation!
Our journey so far
It all began on 14th April 1997, when a Tamil community site was launched from an apartment in the USA. The matrimony section was an instant hit and this led to me finding my life partner as well, and then the birth of TamilMatrimony in the year 2000. We then expanded into 15 regional domains like MarathiMatrimony, BengaliMatrimony, MuslimMatrimony, KeralaMatrimony, etc., under the umbrella brand BharatMatrimony.
With a strong leadership in matchmaking, we fast expanded into the $56 billion marriage services Industry with MatrimonyBazaar, Indi's largest marketplace for wedding services and Mandap.com, India's largest wedding venue booking platform.
Thanks to the trust of over 40 Million customers like you, in 2017, the company went public and was listed on the BSE and NSE.
Today, with 4000+ associates, 145+ retail outlets, we currently serve over 4.5 million active users. In these 20 years, we won numerous awards including an entry in Limca Book of Records for the most number of documented marriages online; the Guinness Book of World Records for largest wedding album online and The Brand Trust Report recognised BharatMatrimony as the Most Trusted Brand (2013 & 2014).
Weddings at home service launched during COVID-19
Seeking to help thousands of couples whose weddings have been delayed by the lockdown, BharatMatrimony today launched a platform "Home Weddings", on MatrimonyBazaar, to provide the entire range of Covid-Safe wedding services right from catering to makeup including purohits at the doorstep, to help couples happily tie the knot.
